We have the glass prop available, but we are still looking into seeing if we can have transparent maker pen materials and be able to adjust the opacity, just working on some of the limitations.

For now, transparency/opacity can be found by using the glass prop that you can find in the Maker Pen Palette. At this time we were not able to bring transparency/opacity to all Maker Pen shapes.

Star Centurion: Sounds like this may be a thing that's still being worked on, it's just going to take some time. I hope so. It would be lovely to have this for clouds, for example, or to be able to use transparency along with textures for visual effects in lakes or streams.

As it is, rich text is soon going to be unsupported in the future with the release of a glass texture, and while i understand the reasoning behind this move, there are plenty of things that rich text can accomplish that would be near impossible with just a normal glass material.
First off, using rich text in combination with CV2 can allow for color changing glass, something that
could
be done with animation, but the main thing that i fear will be lost is the ability to change the opacity and color of a desired button glass via circuits. this has many uses such as holographic signs that slightly flicker in RGB value and slight opacity change as well, the ability to fluently change a color over time such as a capture the point type map where the point’s color gradually changes over time, and probably many others.a good reason why i wish to keep rich text or to have some sort of support for color and opacity changing glass is in a portal styled map me and a few friends are working on, and in the main home room is 2 pieces of button glass that simulate a holographic board. This effect would be a lot harder, if not impossible, to recreate with just the basic colors in the palette and an animation.
Please consider keeping a form of rich text in the game so room creators can keep creating amazing things involving it that would otherwise be impossible to add without it. At the very least, when the glass material comes out, let us have options that allow us to change its opacity level via configuring it.
