I think we should have a 25% ink boost but if you are about to reach the limit it will warn you that the game will possibly lag out if you pass the 100%.
As the ability to create detail becomes easier and easier the need for more memory space has become highly needed.
There is always 100% max space for creating, why not have unlimited?
This is a pretty unspecific request, and optimizing this system is always an ongoing process.
@Joker: I think what he's trying to say is that we just want more space in rooms. Even if it's just a little, we just want more space.
The reason the limit is in place is because going over the current limit would cause performance issues with platforms such as psvr and quest
There's A reason we have a limit.
More objects=more lag, too much and theres a crash when loading the game
Because the more geometry, circuits and stuff there is in a room, the more unstable it gets. The ink limit is there to ensure that the rooms you make are playable and don't crash people's systems.
The PS4 players will either crash or begin to stop seeing objects that PC players can see.
If you're talking about having a larger ink budget, I think the way we have things as it is is alright. Simply stated, having a limited ink budget not only mitigates CPU from whatever system you're running Rec Room on (in case the room has a lot of models and features to load into it already), but it allows the creator to learn and figure out ways to achieve the vision for their room without an extensive budget. In other words, it gives them a set of boundaries, thereby needing creative workarounds to add more while staying within said boundaries. Myself and many others have had to do this with our rooms, and while we do wish we had more ink, it's a good learning experience.
