Snow, rain, wind, thunder Room Mood/Weather effects
Braxton Carpenter
I think all creators and even players can agree that setting the mood in a game is something that makes it really good. Like the slight movement from the trees that comes from the wind. That is very subtle and usually not cared for, but it makes the game look more realistic. Being able to have weather effects can help in setting the mood in very many ways, especially when you can control when they happen. An example would be a horror game. When you want a lightning to strike with the really loud thunder sound. That sets a scary mood. This would benefit many creators.

Weather for rooms!
TheProfessor
In the room settings, there would be a button for "Weather Control" It could change to rain, which adds pellets of water into your screen for best effect,
Snowy, this adds a frost lens around your screen and you can see breath. Stormy, fashes of light in the sky, rain falling down faster than rain's preset. You could also add weather gizmos. These would be for events in certain games.

Weather Emitters and Objects
Ender Luxio
We all know Terraforming is coming, why not add more to the awesome realism than a cloud that's resizable and emit rain or snow? Would be perfect for those rooms that need perfect atmosphere, and a definite boost of quality to any detail in anyone's room! The cloud will spawn in and emit under it, configure can adjust how far the rain/snow goes, and scaling the cloud fixes it's spread. The snow is individually instanced and only the player can see their version of the snow, as to help with rendering and performance.

Add a cv1 gadet that allows you to make it rain or snow
Ashton12006
This would be really useful in saving ink cause right now all map makers can do is well.... Use emiters and that takes up a good amount of ink. So here's the idea
You could select it by hiting configure with your makerpen then you select rain, snow, sandstorm, thunder storm, snow storm, etc
That's the idea be sure yo give feedback
Lets say you select rain it will now begin to rain selecting thunder storm makes the rain more heavy and thunder will strike every once and a while.

Add weather
Jacob McKinney
I’m sure that this has been asked a lot but i wonder if there’s any chance you can add weather options like snow and rain just as a basic thing and I understand how very difficult that would be because you would have to make sure the weather doesn’t go through physical objects so it can be actual weather but the reason i asked this is because i was working on a room and i wanted it to be so much more dramatic by adding rain or lightning but emitters costed too much ink and kind of looked weird then i tried animation it was too laggy so weather would be a great addition to the mood i know this was more of me having problems here in this post but this can help so much with art rooms and hangouts

Add a weather gizmo
DoctorYT
You can make weather like rain, snow, drought, and maybe even some disasters. The rain would make the ground a bit wet and the sky grey, but you can change it to be like thunderstorm or night storm. And it would make their appropriate noise whenever it’s played. And maybe even an Easter egg whenever you make it snow on Christmas.

Dynamic Ambience Chip
darth panda1256
A chip that is in the same class as Skydome, Fog and Background Objects chips that allows you to add dynamic ambience effects. Unlike the other chips in it's class, multiple can be activated at once to make layering different effects possible.
Effects can range from: rain, snow, wind, embers, leaves, wind, smoke and many more. It could also have options for speed, opacity, start and end distance, colour, which roles can view it and direction.
P.S Smoke is different to fog as it can be seen moving.
*Please read if your about to merge!:
This is different to JustAGuyVR's post as his goes on about Room Mood, however this is a chip. Plus I go more in depth about settings aswell!*
Thanks For Reading!

Thanks for being specific about why you think this request is different, but we merge things based on whether or not the fundamental need is the same.
It's true you've asked for different details--and thank you--but those details are part of the discussion about how a solution to the need should be implemented. Your suggestions stick around after merge as part of the comment thread, so they're not going away!
