Rec Room for iOS should have the support for Bluetooth controllers because some players may find touch screen controll's more difficult compared to a physical controller.
I love the game in VR and I’d love it on iOS if I could use a gamepad. The touch controls are well-implemented, but they’re still imprecise and I find my finger nudging out of the movement zone or my thumb might accidentally slide and hit fire while turning—these little clumsy moments happen too frequently and keep me from digging the mobile version like I do the VR version.
Otherwise, impressive work so far. Really enjoy this game.
Can we have an iPhone vr mode
We definitly need bluetooth controller support in rec room for iOS. I hate the fiddling on my touch screen for such games, I hate it! Did I say I hate it? Now that iOS 13 also supports xBox and PS4 controllers, it would be very cool to be able to control rec room on iOS with them. Even with controller support you would have a disadvantage against VR users but it should not be as big as with touch screen.
Touch screen controls are actually pretty good, but I’d like to be on par with non-mobile players, so I’m all about controller support.
Trashpanda, like the thought of your idea but fortnite did the same thing on mobile and it didn’t cause too much of an uproar. I say they do it and see how it goes and then keep it or remove it at the feed back of The community!
This would be cool to an extent. However, a controller might make some people a bit too proficient at some aspects of the game too easily. If people are playing paintball with a controller as well as they can aim and snipe in say, CoD, I only foresee increased tension between VR and screen players. Let’s keep rec room peaceful.
@Trashpanda : People on PS4 screen already have controller support
