Ban Fake Token Events
JunkBoi76
Ya, I agree, sadly I got accidentally swept up in one. And I had to come in and make up for his actions. But he was hosting LTF events with CRAZY high number like 30k 10k 15k events and every time someone won he would ‘crash’ or the map would get laggy as fuck and he legit went to go play the back rooms every time. And he would leave me to do the give away I have spent easily over $200 US buying tokens cleaning up after his mess. All I could do is not make the map public anymore so nobody could else could get scammed by him.
I kid you not it was bad enough where Gribly joined and he panicked and left.

I agree with this because I had a friend named oscar and he always invited me to these "10k token giveaway" events.

Maybe if you're caught doing that you're not allowed to hold events for a while?

I agree this is definitely a problem, but you need to ask yourself:
- What, fundamentally, can you do about it? Ban certain keywords from the event page? That brings up multiple problems on it’s own. Have each event be investigated by a moderator? Not enough resources to do that.
- Does it matter? Not to put this into a pessimistic point of view. But people are always gonna find some way to cheat the system. You can’t make fake token events? Fake free gift events. No fake free gift events? Fake free maker pen events. What I’m saying is people can always just get more and more vague and there isn’t a whole lot we can really do about it... except just suck it up, keep our chin high and hope the youth of Rec Room learn to recognize and discern fishy events. (Sorry this was so long but it’s a tough thing to answer.)

I agree that these fake events are a problem, but token events shouldn't be banned. As the host of a 600-member competition club, it would be devastating if we couldn't host these anymore
