i still would rather this just get closed than sit with 843 votes a bunch of comments saying its unnecessary. Most of the people saying we don't need it are voting for it to be a thing anyways.

Can you please take a minute to think to yourself "does this affect me in any way?" if the answer is yes, my question to you is, how does it affect you? If the answer is no, my question to you is why be against this? If it does get implemented in the future, just ignore it, cause if your answer is anything to go by, then it doesn't affect you.

Flumbonpascility: Just interested in hearing your idea Flumbo, how in your mind would the animation for holding hands work? Since Rec Roomies have no fingers, etc etc. Would it be more of something like this - https://imgur.com/gallery/GR2ItF0 rather than intertwined finger hand holding, since we don't have that many fingers? And whatwould you do to activate it with someone else? What are your thoughts?

Firestorm185: the Rec Roomies do actually have fingers, the art style just doesn't show the fingers as individual parts, however, I believe it would be as shown in that post vs intertwined fingers.
You cannot shake a left hand with a right hand and vice versa, so the hands would have to be:
- pointing down towards the ground
- a left and right hand or right and left hand
- when the hands are close enough
- BOTH players must use the triggers and keep them held down, will it then activate. To prevent unwanted hand holding, if either player lets go the animation is cancelled.

Hey all, thanks for all the votes on this one.
Currently, it is backlogged since we did at one point planned to work on it until other higher priority work came about. It feels like cheating to keep it under as "Planned" so for now I will be marking it as "open" again. We may place it back under "In progress" if we do decide to come back to it in the future.

everybody who is saying this update is taking forever, please be patient, it will come out when they finish making it.
Some things will also take longer because the Devs are busy working on other features which in themselves can take however long to develop.
Also its "PLANNED" so it will come at some point, just be patient.

I defend this post because people like you come in and try to tell people "N O" because 'YOU' don't want this in the game, I understand, yes everyone deserves an opinion, but to try and push yours to the top over others opinions is wrong.
Games for some people are extensions to life, it allows them to be who they want to be and to do things they couldn't in real life.
I defend this post so much because people come in and try to shoot it down, but for most people, it doesn't affect them, they just don't want to see two people enjoying the company of each other. It would make the people who would like it happier and leave the rest unaffected.

A lot of people say this is bad because mirror couples. I thought it was so you can do things like help friends enter a climbing state from lower on a wall, and be able to be pulled up easier.
