Make profile pictures higher quality again

The quality for profile pictures is currently quite bad. Even for a jpg. It didn't use to be this way, they looked fine before. Up the jpg quality please or switch to png.

This was a problem for a time but it's been fixed.

Adding on to this, I'd like a button in the camera's settings menu to save images locally. A resolution slider and panorama toggle would be neat also.
