An API that developers could use to get a list of all cosmetics, quests, active game instances, players, scoreboards, etc to build apps on top of.

This could be extended to allow people to send messages to friends, buy cosmetics, schedule events etc

Yeah you know what, your right. It would be nice to have an API that would actually allow us to do all of those things. (The thing is it exists now, what we need now is documentation on the API and rules/regulations for using it)

I do not care how much of a rat's nest the rec net backend may or may not be. I think it would be nice to have some API reference at all, so that folks could make programs to interact with rec net. I dont want any good support or anything, just tell us how rec net works and let us make stuff with it. (oh and an API keys page would be nice)

This will be nice, a good API will allow the appearance of third party apps for others devs in the Rec Room community. For example, mobile apps for check daily challanges /chats/ friends. Users dont need to put their vr headset just for check daily challanges.
