I think integrating Rec.Net and Rec Room would be brilliant. By this I do not mean give us Rec.Net pixel for pixel in game, no, I think we should turn Rec.Net into more of a social media platform rather than what it is now. I'll drop some suggestions below
Rec.Net changes
  • Let us save photos (from ourselves and or from other people, and then let us print them off later) join rooms, view and subscribe to inventions, join events, etc. from Rec.Net
  • Give us the ability to subscribe to #tags, so they show in our personal feeds
  • Give clubs their own pages, with the ability to 'follow' a club, even if you're not apart of it (this will be customisable in the clubs settings page, where you can set clubs posts to public or for everyone to see by default, but if you make a post or an announcement, you can customise it to set it to public or members only per post.
  • Create multiple feeds to view: Personal (shows posts of friends, clubs you're apart of, and players and #tags you're subscribed to), New (shows most recent posts), Hot (Currently trending posts), Recommended (similar to the recommended tab on the play tab on the watch), Saved (Shows favourited rooms, Subscribed inventions, saved photos, events we're attending, etc)
  • Let us make 'posts' on our profile, Similar to Facebooks' "Status Update", where it can range from photo, text, video (maybe), events, invention/room announcements, all in one.
  • Add the ability to filter posts by type (Room, Invention, Events, Photos, etc.)
  • We should be able to use #tags in our posts, which will allow people to find your posts through tags
  • You should also be able to manually tag people in photos, although you can change this setting for privacy (e.g. "Automatically tag me in photos: Yes - Yes, but do not post on my profile - No")
  • If you are subscribed to someone, you will get all their posts on your personal feed, which you can scroll through, cheer, and comment, and tag people in the comments (useful for replying)
Rec Room changes
  • Let us view our feeds in Rec Room
  • Move the invention store, play, and events tab into our feeds, but still maintaining their original setups when searching exclusively for those things.
  • Let us comment, post, cheer, all that good stuff in real time. If someone replies to your comment, you'd get a real time notification on your watch
  • Modify the notification settings so we can choose what we get notifications for and what we don't in more detail.
  • Let us do everything that we can do on Rec.Net in Rec Room.
Rec.Net App.
  • Basically lets us view Rec.Net without having to go into a browser, as sometimes that can cause issues depending on the device and preferred browser
