How about a "bag" in the maker pen? You could just keep dumping stuff (Objects, shapes, circuits, etc) into the pen bag, then pull it out when you get where you need to do your work? That would give you more flexibility than an extra hand.

I think there should be a holster slot item you can spawn in. Then a holotar could appear, and have different spots (belt, shoulders, sides, back) that you can snap the slot onto. Then you could have a sword holster on your back and stuff.
