HTTP Requests
Aleteoryx
I feel we would need better string methods first
Landyn J
Aleteoryx: Yes we would also need string.split() implemented.
Aleteoryx
Landyn J: yeah, and, more efficiently for stripping headers, re.findall()
h
I believe that they would need a proxy for HTTP requests, because of ip grabbers.
Aleteoryx
h: that, or just have it be run by the server
h
Aleteoryx: Isn't rec room p2p?
Aleteoryx
h: kinda but also not. from what i understand, the servers basically just handle syncing state between clients, but almost everything (physics, circuts, game logic) is handled on clients and then sent to each other client
h
Aleteoryx: But even then, it would be better to have a proxy send the requests. If the server sent the request, someone could grab the ip of the server and ddos it.
Aleteoryx
h: i mean... if your game connects to the server, it has the ip.
h
Aleteoryx: True...

Nice idea but I don't think they'd do it because it doesn't seem rec-roomie enough but I still think it would be cool!
