Player Screen name from player ID
complete
AfewGoodTacos
I don't know why we don't have this yet, but I'd like to be able to get PlayerID#'s Rec Room screen name instead of just a number.
For example, if I'm the only one in the room, and I querry what player ID 1 is, it'd produce the string "AfewGoodTacos". And I should be able to pipe that to a sign or message chip.
This can be really useful for a more personal message or experience. Calling out a player instead of their number, showing a player in a high score, addressing a player by name in a quest dialog, etc.

Player Names On Signs Dynamically
TheTruth
It would be very nice to be able to grab the name of the players that are in the game.
I want to display roles and who has what role and have it change based on players picking and switching themselves.
Right now we have 0 options to grab a player name inside the game and place it to a sign for information display.

This, but also the ability to output a player’s name on a sign or message too. Send a player ID and it would display the name with {ID}

A better setup for this would be an additional token for signs and message chips that translate a player id to their name. (So instead of {R} for the red pin value, it would be something like {R:P} for the player name. Adding a value pin to the message chip would be required, but would be really useful anyway.

Player Names and Team Colors in Messages and Signs

It would be nice to convert a player ID input signal into the player's name for messages and signs, e.g. "{BP}" could be replaced by the player name of the player with the ID that is specified on the blue pin. Similarly, the team color specified by the blue pin could be inserted with "{BT}" .
