Better Rec Room Original Moderation

From what I've seen many rec center mods are slacking and using the mod title as more of a blue check mark for rec room and not really moderating rros. Almost every lobby is filled with toxic children and hateful adults. I'm aware they're constantly adding more rec center mods, but what I'm asking is could they start making more people who are known for playing rros and are active daily mods.

I'm in the RecCenter almost everyday and I totally agree with you on this. I applied to be a mod but RecRoom sometimes favoritism rather than time and experience(not all the time). Someone like me who's been playing for 2 years now and is always actively trying to decrease the number of COC breaking individuals wouldn't get mod compared to someone with 6 months experience but is friends with a support member. Either way there's need for improvement on both sides. People like me just want to help but don't get the chance to :(

Honestly wondering if this a joke post tbh, you even said they are rec center mods, they literally cannot moderate rro's they don't have that kind of power.

Yes! I believe one of the games that needs this is ^StuntRunner. The amount of cheated times that are posted is ridiculous.

Chocolate.: how do you mean by cheated? If it’s just skips it’s fine. Unless they are hacking (which would be very difficult with Easy Anticheat). In my opinion, the fun of stunt runner is finding faster and faster paths to the finish line.

HarryPorpise: Cheating is possible, Via players clipping through walls and/or hitting the button by extending their hands past normal limits. Which EasyAntiCheat doesn’t pick up on. So it’s a little bit difficult to tell exactly what times are cheated as they could simply hit the button at the right time.

HarryPorpise: The fun in ^StuntRunner can be taken away with a simple camera exploit. Although they have patched the play space mover "hack" the camera can still be used to hit the button, adding unrealistic times to the leaderboards.

CozyRR: The Person who posted his said "Rec Room Original" moderation. Most games could use some mods, for example paintball. For the amount of harassment I get for using teleport, having moderators in RRO's could reduce the amount of harassment and cheating.

I agree with this whole heatedly! Often times I'll see almost every member of the moderation team in private rooms during most of the day. A lot of them just don't take the job seriously. I feel that a majority of them use it only as a form of increasing their popularity or make themselves feel cool. Unfortunately most of the moderation team is hand-picked through the buddy system.

Wouldn't mind seeing the quest moderations come back, even something that isn't as high of a role as volunteer mod.

I agree with the message, but there are no RRO mods aside for the support team. Rec Center mods have jurisdiction over the Rec center. Their mod powers don't carry over to other rooms

Sun: well.... this is not true, their reports worth way more than normal player's reports and they can insta time out players. so it does carry over other rooms

True, I play paintball and dodgeball almost regularly, I see the toxicity first hand and as this game grows through different platt forms it’s time to take moderation a little more serious. Rec room is a free game this lets anyone come in and say anything they want and have a high chance of getting away with it

CozyRR: they are titled as volunteer mods. So they can moderate any RRO game.

CozyRR: actually volunteer mods can moderate anywhere in RecRoom not just RRO's or RecCenter. They have the power to suspend your account for a little bit while support takes a look at the report from the moderator
