Bring Back 3D Mirror Icons

The newest mirror update is a bit of a mess. The 2D item icons are just bad. I understand that artists pyt lots of time and effort into them, and they did a great job of making them. They just were a bad idea in the first place.
The amount of pushback against this descision is on the same level if not even higher than people who hated Rec Room Plus. The UI itself isnt horrible, but VR players loved the 3D items for the closet. Its been a thing for ages now and to remove it is nothing but a downgrade.
There's a long, long list of people who spent a large chunk of money on a system that could handle VR, and now they're getting features downgraded to the same level as crappy mobile games to make things run better for people who just got the game on their phone.

3D icons should be on VR (because they look better there)
2D icons should be on Screen (because they look better there).
Or find a middle ground that VR and screens players probably won't love nor hate.

The 2D vs 3D are probably of little consequence to the screen users but in VR it is flat and boring, taking away a lot of the charm of looking at your items.

Downgrade downgrade downgraded, it’ll stay that way, as a whole. I like the way you worded your opinion though, and I do agree. I laughed when I saw the update, considering how while most VR games are pushing the limits and going even further, Rec is is quite literally evolving backwards. Compare the new ui to original, no game would consider it an upgrade, it’s all downgraded.

Sans: it’s about the performance and usefulness, they want to make that the game freezes less. And with the new UI, they can add stuff easier.

PhantomEnderium: Whining and feedback aren't the same. Detailed, level headed evaluation and responsive call to action is feedback. Being hostile by saying things like "stop whining and learn to accept change", on the other hand, is whining.

They should add a legacy features toggle in the watch menu for this.

Great idea, personally I'd keep the new ui tho because my pc would fry itself trying to scroll through shirts or whatever.

there's no reason they can't keep this UI for the screenies and give us back our old one...

OdgeBodge: performance on devices like the oculus quest. They made it for better performance and to make adding stuff to the UI easier. Maybe they will make and feature for pc, because those can be powerful enough.
