Categorize friends list

We now have the "Favorite" option for friends to help categorization.
Diddlyono
@ryu: thats not exactly what was wanted in this post, the post wanted categories alongside favourites not just favourites
Posi Cat
Ryu: Favorite is great, but the issue I have is accepting friend requests so people can hear me talk. I then have to favorite anyone have played with and enjoy as "close friends" and have a ton of "I met them somewhere, I don't remember where" non-favorite friends on my list. A couple extra check boxes would be great, even better if they could be custom. I'd like to at least track "played well together with" separately from "favorite" and have categorized folks be "gave the OK to talk to" etc. Or a separate permission to "let them hear me" that's not also them showing up on my friends list.

Btw could we also make it so you can cancel sent friend requests cause i’ve had some from the moment i started the game, which is almost a year ago

I would say to add onto this is to also have more than just a favorites catergory, like putting labels on people like good quester, best friend, good builder, or a noted feature so you can write notes about people to remember who they were
Ryan
something like steam nicknames would be better then a search button.
so I put in 'quest' and find all the people good at quests cause lets all be honest we are friends with a bunch of people most we have only met 1 time.

For me just a "Star" or "Favourite" would be sufficient.

You can currently see how long since a friend has logged into Rec Room in your rec.net friends list and then unfriend them from there. We'll look into how we might get this info into the watch as well.

+1. I especially like the detail where we should be able to purge old friends. before the recent updates, I had a friends list with 150+ pages and only 50 still play.

I agree, categories and notes would be great. Some people are good for one thing, like quest, and some you know their real name, but it is not their display name. This would also work good if you could tag each person in multiple groups so that you can manage a guild. Similar to other social media groups.

Dave: yes!

Dave: Yea! And also, maybe you could put a note so you could remember where or how you first met that person!
