Full body tracking for VR
closed

Now that we are able to have arms and legs through the use of full body costumes, I think it will be awesome if Rec Room supported and implemented full body tracking. This will be awesome as fully body tracking/suits become more popular. It will bring a new and unique type of entertainment for all those who love watching Rec Room content. It may also bring a lot more attention and players to Rec Room as a lot of very big content creators with full body tracking may want to try a new place to use their full body tracking suits. So please, whether you are someone who plans on getting full body tracking in the future, would like to see full body tracking in Rec Room content, or just would like to see Rec Room become even bigger through the use of the new and innovative technology VR has to offer, please upvote this post.

This sort of suggestion falls under the category of "VR tech that may be supported once it's used by more people"
Meaning; When the day comes where most VR headsets have eye tracking, or they support full body tracking out of the box and everyone has it, it's definitely something to consider and think into implementing it into Rec Room. For now, a very, very small percentage of our users have access to stuff like haptic suits, full body tracking, etc etc.
I know obviously the first step that leads to the adoption to these technologies is games taking the time to implement support for them, but at the moment we want to focus more on changes that affect the entire playerbase as a whole. See the video link above for another good explanation.

Someone by the name of "Lucas VRTech" made functioning hand tracking at a price of only $22. Maybe he'll make cheap foot tracking. So I just want to let you guys know to either politely request him or keep watching him. because it might be coming much sooner.

Hip tracker support
Spookatz Animation
It would be really great if we could use a vive tracker (specifically on the belt) to track hip movement. It would make people's movement more expressive, and be just in general something nice.

Can we add Vive Tracker Support to the latest CV2 Outfits?
Comet
As you know Rec Room has release arms and legs and some of us in Rec Room (A small minority of players) have Vive Trackers and are awaiting to use it some day. I think this would be a great feature to add it could be calibrated in the advanced tab in the watch menu like you do on a PSVR headset or their controllers, or the same GUI as that in the least. This could also be added in the main game to be able to move the body freely using the hip vive tracker. This could make crawling more immersive for some of us. And it would be funny to see in games too.

Implement body tracking for the new dummy
Doggo
Since we now have legs and arms using the new dummy, we should be able to use body trackers such as the HTC body tracking controllers to control the legs.

Now that we have the ability to use our legs and body and arms in rec room with the new costume stand just maybe we could have the ability to use the Vive trackers in rec room so we can move our legs how we want I can see this being very useful for video content creators and it would also improve the immersion into the game I understand its a small feature but it would still be great to see that in rec room as most people who have the Vive trackers struggle to find a game with support for them so they just end up laying around doing nothing I have had my trackers for a couple years now and I have only used them in one game which is VRChat and always wanted to be able to use them with costumes in rec room by considering how far we have come with costumes maybe we can have a small update allowing the trackers to work.
Please consider implementing this. - Thank You!

Full body tracking.
Sombrevent
Full body tracking with the 3 sensors or the kinect and to prevent bugs the colistion remains basic as if it had to be deactivated and in the subroom parameters we can activate the collisions ex: kick a bottle with the foot

Hip tracking for show

Maybe experiment with some system of full body tracking for Pc? Maybe in the form of hip tracking only, as a way to move your torso around in specific ways with no affect on your hit box

Semi-“Full Body Tracking” Support

No we don’t have legs, but we do have a torso! Full body tracking uses 3 extra trackers, one of which is on the waist. I was thinking that a tracker on the waist could be used for tracking the player torso!
