Minimum "height" for avatars in competitive games
complete
The_Stargazer
There are a number of players out there who either purposefully mis-calibrate their headsets, or sit / lay on the floor IRL so their avatar's body is in the ground and only the head / hands are visible.
This is a major annoyance as it gives these players a big advantage as they are much harder to hit.
In competitive games such as Paintball, Laser Tag and Rec Royale it would be useful if there were a "minimum height" that it forced your player to be above the ground to prevent this form of exploiting.

or you could just make it where if your gun is at a certain height relative to the ground ( I believe it was 6 inches to be legal for the rec royale tourney) it doesn't work the same way you stop people from shooting guns clipped thru objects.

Avatar bodies now are forced to stay above ground.
GhosttheNote
Joker: It hasn't been really fixed, its very easy to just go a little farther underground and have their body still not be visible

fix heights system

I think that so that players do not take advantage of the rec room heights system, we could set a limit, for example 50 cm for the lowest and 2 meters for the highest. With this reform the players will not be able to cross the floor (which gives them an advantage when they are not detected) or fly and have the height advantage.
Jozef Magolon
Even if they want their height to be very short, their body could be 'prone' or lying down just so their hitbox doesn't glitch through the ground.

Yeah I played paintball the other day vs. this kid who only had his head visible above the ground and no one could hit him. I told him that's height cheating and blocked and reported him

I mean it’s annoying when ppls heads are below the map bc in PVPs their hard to hit... but a better idea is to have the optional height change thing like in a PC and the rooms offer a certain height to join... if ur below this it will just automatically change u to the lowest height...
Edino
This is a big problem in dodgeball, their hotbox is barely detectable

No there are ppl who role play as a child... knowing rec room they wud just make it 3/4 of the screen moder height😡

Agree with heads above the ground - but whats wrong with sitting ? or just kneeling ? I use it sometimes. Im either tired or looking for tactical advantage ;) I think its fair because there is BIG disadvantage - if you are sitting you cant dodge a bullet.
KingNombo
Jozafat: as long as thier avatar body isnt glitched through the floor. Body and head should be visable and hittable. Otherwise its really just cheating.
Firestorm185
KingNombo: totally agree. I have no problem with being prone/sitting on the floor, but if only the head/hands can be seen, that's just plain cheating. And no matter if it's a kid's game or not, cheating is cheating.
The_Stargazer
Firestorm185: The body needs to be above ground as well.
And room scale VR isn't very useful for dodging these days, strafing is a much better dodge mechanism and you can still strafe when prone / sitting.
