While AG is certainly very active on discord and reddit, people who aren't active on these platforms sometimes have no idea about what's going on concerning events(would work very well with the new rec.net event calendar), problems and bugs.
A noticeboard in the rec center could be a fun and natural way to spread info to a wider audience. If there's nothing happening it could be filled with suggested custom rooms.
Edit: You could also use this to increase traffic towards the subreddit and discord.

Kind of like the current featured rooms, but more adaptive. It would also be nice if there was a way to see patch notes in game so that people come in game after an update and they know what was changed and what to look for. I find it funny sometimes when people play for weeks on end and then realize that a patch that was 2 months ago made a change that they never knew about.
