Turn body floor clipping off in non competitive rooms
Pooks221
As a VR player that often is low to the ground in non competitive rooms, seeing myself and others slant run and fly horizontally on couches does not make for in my opinion the best causal social environment. I propose that in non competitive RRO rooms the cliping be turned off for VR players (or at least togalable in setting). I also propose that this feature be able to be turned on and off in UGC rooms. This way when I am sitting low to the ground I will not have my body flopping around behind me in a Rec Center when im on a chair.

Edit now that the recent patch addressed the height issue;
The devs have addressed some of the sitting down issues a lot of the community was facing. This fixes a lot of the concerns that shorter players have. They have yet to give the option to disable this feature however. It looks as if this may not ever be a feature where we can fully turn off the body physics which I am disappointed about. It is now a lot less likely that sitting down you will be put into crawling mode, however it is still not impossible. In certain positions in hang out setting when on my floor I still get put into crawling mode, as well when using certain height adjustment systems you can abuse this sytem to do strange things with your body as seen in the picture attached to tis post. I thank you all for your support and still hold out hope that if this issue gets enough attention we
may
still get the chance to turn this off and on in non competitive rooms.Shinigami Zxmbie
I genuinely don't think they took short people or anyone who sits into consideration. RecRoom is meant to be a social game and from what I've experienced and seen, this ruined the social aspect for many. Personally I refuse to go to public hangout rooms/Rec Centers for 1. Sexual Harassment and 2. I hate being stuck in a laying position because I want to sit on my chair.

Shinigami Zxmbie: yeah I love the social aspect where my body phases through walls.

As a female in rec room and also short... i am now an easier target for sexual harassment with this all too easy to abuse position im forced to be in. Just saying.

SweetChibi: this is another big issue I'm finding out rather quickly...!

SweetChibi: mentioning users here should be used carefully but yes, I
have
encountered that user. That is a topic for another time.RedShoulder5
SweetChibi I'm sorry that you face this kind of behavior. I hope you report it.
I think VR is a good place to practice speaking up and standing up for yourself, too, to practice enforcing your boundaries when you encounter people who don't understand consent.

I quit playing the moment I saw this crap. Please patch this

I can't even sit down and Holster weapons anymore

I liked it at first but the more i get into it, its just not for me anymore so definitely agree.
I hope they at least make it optional for players who do not want this

I agree!

At least move the body down a bit I don’t mind crawling in hangout rooms but there’s legit a 1 foot gap we’re our bottoms aren’t actually touching the ground, if they did that this wouldn’t be much of an issue imo, just needs to move it a bit lower for actual sitting height
Pooks221
NekoCore Network: see lots of people have mixed opinions on the topic, including yourself. That's why having the ability to turn it off and on in hang out rooms would solve the problem for everyone.
Fruility
I agree with this. I myself can get tired so I sit on the floor when I play, and I think it's a little odd to have your body do that if you're on another surface like a chair. It would be convenient if this were an option to set off you you were in places like hangout games, dorm rooms, and the Rec Center. You have an upvote from me! I hope RecRoom acknowledges this, that would be great.
