It should definitely be a toggleable option in roles, but glitch walking is such an integral part of rec room and almost every VR player uses it. Glitch walking has been nerfed hard (back then you could fly and go through walls effortlessly). Now it's harder to go through walls. Glitch walking is so embeded in rec room's history that taking it away would shatter the community. However I do believe that having it as a role option would be a great idea to stop people from going through walls or moving (while not having movement perms).
Nansy
A glitch walking fix would definitely be appreciated
Nebula DragonStar
Nansy: yes as a map maker i think it would be epic
Thomas
That's just making the game 3DoF instead of 6DoF.

We can take a look at it, but it is not currently a priority. I do ask you all leave comments that detail how often you see this abused, would you rather have this fixed first over other issues, etc. We do recognize this movement tech kind of makes the skill ceiling higher, but not in a fun way for new players.
Candy Canez
Star Centurion: There is a way to “remove” glitch walking, The way way seats work, you cant move at all nor move in real life, hence you can make this feature in a rooms settings to allow glitch walking or not, I think this would work.
Candy Canez
Star Centurion: This really does ruin the fun, in most games you’ll most likely find somebody somewhere that they aren’t allowed to be, like glitch walking through walls or when a role has moving turned off the player can move using glitch walking.
BlueAnt
Candy Canez: Star Centurion Pavlov has a solution to fix this. Rather than disabling moving, instead when you rotate your camera it rotates around your playspace origin. You will still be able to walk around your playspace and have that position updated in game, but you can't abuse it to glitch walk.
Nebula DragonStar
Star Centurion: maybe how you could do this so that as the player moves around their playspace instead of clipping through if they hit a collision it will make them collide with it instead
HarryPorpise
Star Centurion: I think you guys should keep it. As you said, it only raises the skill ceiling, and it’s been quite fun to use in quests. I also like that it forces you to move, which always makes VR more fun. It’s a bug that I very rarely see anyone complain about, and when they do, it’s always easy to teach them how to do it themselves.
ChristianVR
Its not just rr most vr games have this and it cannot be fixed
